The WoW Pod Is Here

The WoW Pod Is Here

There comes a time when you have to ask yourself “Am I playing MMORPGs too much?” I believe that time would be when you build a giant box out of plywood and cardboard in the middle of your floor.

The seat is a nice and comfortable bucket seat from a volkswagen fox and behind the seat is a mini refrigerator so I don’t have to leave the pod to get a drink or a snack. I also mounted a telephone in the booth , you can see it on the left of the main computer. I also mounted speakers in the corners and have a clipboard for taking notes.

I mentioned this idea to my wife, and apparently there’s something about “not being allowed to build a WoW Pod” in fine print on the back of our marriage license.

This guy actually makes quite a few things, with tutorials on how to do it at his site. I, for one, plan on making my own catapult if the neighbors don’t keep their cat out of my yard, for example. And apparently this whole game design thing is even easier than I thought, since you can make your own videogame as well.

My only question…where are the, ummmm…”sanitary facilities”?

  1. OMFG this is way to far! I mean sure if the kid in that box is like 15 years old it might be acceptable. On the other hand if my mmorpg friends start doing this I will stop playing wow.

Speaking of wow I might spend the afternoon farming gold I need some more enchants :)

  2. Sanitary facilities? What, a catheter isn’t good enough for you?

Um…you know those bottles of soda you’ll find in the mini-fridge? Yeah…what comes out of those, goes back in….
