Valkyre Needs Caffiene…BADLY

Valkyre Needs Caffiene…BADLY

Have you ever run across a product that is so perfect an example of its type that it almost seems too good to be true?If you’re a gamer, today is the day that happens for you. Introducing Mana Energy Potion.

Mana Energy Potion is the premium energy shot made by gamers, for gamers. It’s for long nights of gaming, partying, and the longer mornings that follow. It has lots of vitamins, no sugar, and no aftercrash.

No, really. They made mana potions. We continue from their website:

Effect: +160 to mana (real world humans have about 100 mana, by the way). It’s 5-8 hours of smooth, jitter-free energy. When it comes to caffeine content, this potent shot is equivalent to about two 8-ounce Red BullsĀ® or four cups of crappy office coffee.

Must be a potent devil’s-brew of ingredients. Let’s take a peek:

Let’s see…only 20 calories, that’s good. No fat…excellent.

13% of the daily value of Vitamin C. That’s good for you, right?

Vitamin B3…130%? Ummmm….

Vitamin B6…1600%!?! And B12…holy freakin’ crap!

Okay…I quit reading at that point. Might I suggest you not make this a habitual beverage of choice? Your kidneys will claw their way out of your back and strike out on their own. But believe it or not, it’s not the massive amount of B12 that could cause a problem (your body just disposes of excess B12 through your kidneys)…it’s the B6:

Vitamin B6 is usually safe, at intakes up to 200 mg per day in adults.7 However, neurological side effects can sometimes occur at that level.8 Levels higher than 200 mg are more likely to cause such problems. Vitamin B6 toxicity can damage sensory nerves, leading to numbness in the hands and feet as well as difficulty walking. The National Academy of Sciences performed an analysis of vitamin B6 studies. They determined the safe upper limit for long-term use is 100 mg per day. However, under supervision of a healthcare professional, up to 200 mg per day of vitamin B6 can be safely taken by most men and nonpregnant women for limited periods of time.

Of course, considering that (shipping included) it’s over $10 for two bottles of this stuff, I don’t think you’ll have the cash flow to get hooked on it.

If you do, though…just make sure you’re not guzzling a six-pack a day, or you could wind up spamming “WTT” messages in the “Looking For Kidney” channel.

  1. It’s the B3 you should worry about. It causes some kind of problem in your body but … I can’t remember what kind. LOL. All I know is I’d be careful there.
