Following a long-standing internet tradition (almost as old as boobies, which were first transmitted in a digital form about 1784, give or take), today I offer a list of links that will be of interest to either (a) everyone that’s interested in MMORPG’s, (b) a few people, or (c) me and my cat. This actually serves two purposes: first, I get to introduce you to various things you may not have come in contact with yet, and second…it’s easy.
First up, our feature presentation. If you haven’t caught ZP over at the Escapist yet, this is a good week to start, as this week Yahtzee demonstrates his complete disregard for NDAs with a review of the Tabula Rasa beta.
- Gameriot (motto: “It’s not buggy, it’s BETA!”) has a video up, filmed in impressive “We Pointed Our Camera At The MonitorVision 2000 ™”, showing a demo of the new housing coming to Turbine’s Lord of the Rings Online.
- Jeff Freeman has a link up to what is, in my opinion, the definitive guide to winning a knife-fight in Battlefield 2142.
- Cuppycake let everyone know on her blog that the official forums are up at Metaplace…and they still have that “new thread” smell.
- Raph has a thread up regarding the continuing evolution of “The Better EULA Project”, which is endeavoring to create an EULA that doesn’t suck.
- BitterCupOJoe has a link to the information on World of Warcraft’s patchnotes for 2.3.0 over at KillTenRats, and quite possibly the perfect analysis of it in the last paragraph.
- Scott Jennings over at Brokentoys has an interesting tidbit about the next step in RMT…TRADE WAR! (Of course, he also posted a link to this earlier in the week, so in my book he’s breaking even so far, no matter how much he tries to blame Yahtzee.)
- [GM] Dave has started posting once more in the last couple of weeks over at Bannable Offences, with his October 3rd post quite possibly the best example of parenthood I have ever encountered outside a courtroom.
- And finally…He-Man:Masters of Warcraft. There’s really nothing left to say after that.
